Otao Pop-Up Kitchen – a live chef demonstration or hands-on cooking class at your venue
Otao Kitchen brings Abbotsford's cooking school of 12 years to your venue: a live chef demonstration or a hands-on class for up to 60 guests, with our chef team, food and disposables brought in. Three packages, one flat day price, no hidden extras.
Built for: event managers (conferences, expos, launches, staff days), activation and centre marketing managers (shopping centres, school holidays, Lunar New Year, Christmas), culture and community managers (council festivals, Harmony Week, multicultural and seniors events) and teachers (cooking incursions linking food, culture and healthy eating).
Packages
- Package 1 – Show & Taste ($1,650): our chef cooks live in front of your crowd and tells the story behind each dish, while an assistant preps and hands out tastings. Open audience, up to 2 hours on site. Best for festival and expo stages, shopping centre promotions, council events and launches.
- Package 2 – Cook & Share ($2,250): one 1.5-hour hands-on class for up to 20 guests. Everyone cooks in pairs with our chef guiding step by step, then sits down to eat what they made. Allow extra time and space after the class for eating. Runs over a half day including set-up and pack-down. Best for community groups, staff days, school incursions and cultural events.
- Package 3 – Kitchen Takeover ($2,950): a full day of hands-on cooking with up to 3 classes of 1.5 hours, up to 20 guests each (60 in total). Same set-up all day for back-to-back groups – allow a 30–45 minute changeover. Best for shopping centre school holidays, festivals, schools with several class groups and corporate events.
Want more than one hands-on class? A second or third class moves you to Kitchen Takeover.
