Australian Spirits Tasting and Masterclass

Australia produces some exceptional whisky, rum and gin, and this one-hour tasting is an introduction to the distilleries, producers and spirits behind them.

Hosted by one of New Gold Mountain’s knowledgeable bartenders, you’ll taste three Australian spirits, with a 15ml pour of each. Along the way, you’ll learn about the producers, how the spirits are made, what to look for when tasting them, and the different styles being produced around Australia.

Choose a mixed flight featuring a bartender-selected whisky, rum and gin, or focus on your favourite category with a flight of three whiskies, three rums or three gins.

There are two tasting levels available:

Classic Flight – $50 per person
Three carefully selected Australian spirits showcasing the quality and variety of local distilling.

Premium Flight – $110 per person
Upgrade your tasting to three higher-end Australian spirits, featuring premium bottles and producers.

You don’t need to be a spirits expert. The tasting is relaxed and informative, designed for everyone from curious beginners to established spirits drinkers, as well as visitors looking to explore Australian spirits while they’re in Melbourne.
