Great Barrier Reef snorkelling adventure

Venture offshore to explore colourful coral gardens and tropical marine life on the Central Great Barrier Reef. Travel from Townsville or join the boat at Magnetic Island, with reef sites selected by the skipper for the safest and best conditions on the day. The offshore journey takes approximately 2–2.5 hours, depending on the reef location and sea conditions.

Enjoy approximately 3–4 hours at reef locations, with opportunities to snorkel, relax aboard and take in the open-ocean scenery. The crew provides safety briefings and in-water assistance. Lunch and light afternoon tea are included. Reef locations, visibility, currents and wildlife vary; no particular site or sighting is guaranteed.

Departure and meeting points

• Townsville: The Docks, 108 Flinders Street, Townsville City. Check in at 7:30am for 8:00am departure (30 minutes before).
• Magnetic Island: Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal. Check in at 8:15am for 8:30am pickup (15 minutes before).
• Tour durations exclude check-in. Follow the departure details on your booking confirmation.

Before you book

Minimum guest age: 12 months. Infants under 12 months cannot travel. This is an offshore boat trip and conditions can be lively. Tell the team about medical conditions or concerns before booking. Children must remain supervised by a responsible adult; guests should be comfortable in and around the water. Bring swimwear, a towel, sun protection and drinking water. Itinerary and timing may change for weather, sea conditions and safety.
