With a maximum of just 11 guests, our tours offer a more intimate, wine-focused experience. Smaller groups mean more personal cellar door visits, generous guided tastings and time to truly appreciate the wines, without feeling rushed from one stop to the next.

Inclusions

·       Visit up to four carefully selected wineries. We carefully balance renowned premium producers with boutique, family-owned wineries to showcase the quality and diversity of Margaret River wine.

·       Tasting fees included at 3 wineries with plenty of time to taste, learn and enjoy without being rushed from one stop to the next.

·       A wine-focused itinerary, curated each day around the best available cellar door experiences, tailored where possible to the interests of the group.

·       Enjoy a delicious lunch at a popular brewery or bistro with one meal per guest. Our lunch venues offer a dietary friendly menu, showcasing seasonal local produce paired alongside an extensive local wine list.

·       A flexible & relaxed final stop if time permits. Depending on the preference of the group we will finish the day at a popular winery, brewery, distillery or chocolatier and relax with new friends over a drink of your choice (drinks at your own cost)

·       Pick up and drop off at your accommodation in Margaret River and some surrounding areas. Out of area transport options are also available (fees apply, see below).

·       Take in the scenic Margaret River landscapes as you travel in the comfort of our spacious, modern, and air conditioned van. Where possible we will take our guests to the coast to see the stunning beaches our region has to offer.

·       Spend the day with a knowledgeable guide who’ll share insight into the region, its wineries and producers, along with plenty of local recommendations for the rest of your stay.

·       A genuinely small-group experience, with a maximum of just 11 guests. Smaller groups mean more relaxed tastings, better interactions at the cellar door and a more personal experience throughout the day.

Tour time 10:30am - 4:30pm (approx 6 hours).

Pick-ups start from 9:45am. Exact pick up time will be confirmed by 5pm the day prior to your tour departure.

What to Expect

Margaret River is home to hundreds of wineries, but knowing which cellar doors to visit is another story. That's where Tannin Road comes in. Rather than racing between as many stops as possible, our tours focus on quality over quantity, showcasing the diversity of Margaret River wine through a thoughtfully selected mix of boutique, independent and established producers.

Your day begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation before heading into the heart of wine country. Take in the region's rolling vineyards, forests and coastal landscapes as your local guide shares stories, regional insights and a few favourite recommendations along the way.

Spend the morning discovering two carefully selected wineries, with generous guided tastings and plenty of time to enjoy the wines, learn about the producers and soak up the atmosphere. Then settle in for a relaxed lunch at a favourite local brewery or bistro, with a delicious main meal included and an extensive selection of local wines available.

After lunch, it's back to the vines for your third included wine tasting. Where time allows, round out the afternoon with a flexible final stop chosen around the group's interests. Whether that's another winery, a local brewery or distillery, a coastal viewpoint or a sweet treat, there's always room for a little spontaneity.

No two Tannin Road tours are exactly the same. Each itinerary is thoughtfully planned around the group's interests, cellar door availability and what's happening across the region. While specific venues can't be guaranteed, the focus remains the same: great wines, personal experiences and a relaxed pace that lets you enjoy every stop.
