Bangalore Canyon

- Duration: 8 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Coramba, NSW
- Product code: BANGALORE
Known locally as the ‘Waterfall Warehouse’, Bangalore Canyon cuts through a spectacular gorge deep within Bindarri National Park. It’s our flagship canyoning trip and the canyon we recommend to most adventurous first-time canyoners.
Once we enter the creek, the adventure builds quickly. Clear pools and spectacular waterfalls appear one after another as we make our way downstream, swimming through deep water, scrambling over rocks and taking on jumps, slides, abseils and a canyon zip-line along the way.
Your guides take care of the technical rope systems and give you all the instruction you need to negotiate each obstacle. You don’t need any previous canyoning or abseiling experience, just a willingness to get out of your comfort zone and take on the adventure.
Bangalore may be suitable for first-time canyoners, but this isn’t an easy day out. You’ll spend several hours moving through water and over slippery, uneven terrain before taking on a steep uphill exit at the end of the canyon. You should have good general fitness, full mobility, be able to swim and feel comfortable spending time in deep water.
It’s beginner-friendly, but it still asks something of you.
For adventurous first-timers wanting the full canyoning experience, Bangalore is hard to beat.
